Suomenlinna, an inspiring location
Suomenlinna is a maritime fortress located off the coast of Helsinki, which was built starting in 1748. It is also a garrison town and a base for the archipelago navy. In 1991, the fortress was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique monument of military architecture. It offers a peaceful, concentrated study environment, but at the same time you're only a 15-minute ferry ride from downtown Helsinki.
