Wonderwater at Tian Hai was a pop-up event to raise awareness of relation of water use and food production. The water footprint is a relatively new but increasingly important tool for understanding our water consumption.

Sharetribe

Sharetribe is a project targeted at making neighborhoods more social, and encouraging residents to act more ecologically. During 2012 there will be 5-15 neighborhoods selected from the Helsinki capital region and Lahti area to taking in part in the project.

365 Wellbeing

365 Wellbeing contains of 12 projects which represent actual services or processes in the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Lahti. Projects address different dimensions of wellbeing, focusing in particular on municipal wellbeing services and patient-centered health care solutions.

Base of the Pyramid

Base of the Pyramid aims at creating sustainable projects for emerging markets. The need for such initiatives stems from the fact that around two thirds of the population live on under 5 euros a day.

Aalto Otaniemi Garden

Aalto University Degree Programmes in Environmental Art and Landscape Architecture launched a student challenge with the aim of designing a campus garden for the area between Otakaari and the Rakentajanaukio square in the Otaniemi campus.

Wastelands

EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) is an independent event of architecture students, with an annually changing venue country. EASA can be described as a two-week long architecture festival for about 500 architecture students taking part.
