Finnish President Sauli Niinistö was there to cut the proverbial ribbon at last night's official opening of the Pavilion. Aki-Pekka Sinikoski was there with his camera.
President Niinistö in conversation with Pyry Kantonen, the lead designer of the WDC Pavilion. From left to right, Janne Kivelä, teacher Ransu Helenius, Markus Heinonen, and Kaarina Gould, Program Director of WDC Helsinki. Kivelä and Heinonen are student colleagues of Kantonen, and co-designers of the Pavilion along with other students in the Wood Programme at Aalto.
